Yes, we do puppy/kitten vaccines. We start puppies at 8 weeks of age. Puppies get four sets of shots given at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 16 weeks, and 20 weeks. We also start kittens at 8 weeks of age. Kittens get three sets of shots given at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and 16 weeks.
No, we do not provide services for reproductive purposes. We recommend contacting the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine Theriogenology Department (225-578-9600) for questions about artificial insemination.
No, we do not take in any stray or surrendered animals into the hospital. If you find a stray animal or need to surrender an animal, please call Companion Animal Alliance (225-408-5360). We do not sell or adopt any animals from our facility. There are many rescues and shelters in the Baton Rouge area if you are looking to adopt a new furbaby!
No, we do not sell vaccines or dewormer to the public to be administered at home.
No, we only see dogs and cats.
We require a scheduled appointment to be seen. Walk-ins are generally not seen unless it is an emergency situation.
We must reschedule your appointment
If you are late by 10 minutes to your appointment, we will have to reschedule your appointment. If rescheduling is not an option, there is a late fee of $15 that will be applied to your balance for the visit.
No, we only carry prescription pet foods and cannot sell them over the counter.
Yes, we do nail trims here. Nail trims must have an appointment scheduled, and proof of Rabies vaccination must be provided.
No, we do not do any tests to determine the bloodline or breed of a pet. Tests can be purchased online to check the breed of your pet. If you need any help using the test for your animal, we can help with that. The breeder must provide
We do not offer any services or emergency care after hours. We recommend Sherwood South Animal Hospital (225-293-6440) or LSU School of Veterinary Medicine (225-578-9600) for any emergency care after hours.
We do NOT offer any payment plans or billing options. All services must be paid in full at the time services are rendered. We offer and accept Scratchpay and Care Credit to help with financial planning. We also accept pet insurances.
Yes, we offer full grooming services for dogs and cats. All pets must be current on their Rabies vaccine. Dogs are also required to be current on their Bordetella and Parvo-Distemper (DA2PP) vaccines. Cats must be current on their RCCP vaccine.
The breeder must provide registration documentation so that you can submit and register to the appropriate organization.”
